Rahul Gandhi appeals to Gen-Z, launches 'Satyagraha' digital platform
In this initiative, Rahul Gandhi also referenced Mahatma Gandhi.
People protesting on various issues across the country will now be able to register information about their movements on a shared digital map and seek support. Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, has launched a new digital platform named ‘Satyagraha’ for this purpose. The initiative aims to gather information about ongoing protests and struggles in different parts of the country in one place and connect people fighting for similar issues.
Rahul Gandhi has appealed to those who believe they are fighting against injustice to share their stories. He stated that through this platform, people will also be able to see who else in the country is struggling with similar issues. The Congress leader mentioned raising such matters in Parliament as needed, writing letters, or standing with people on the ground.
In a post shared on the social media platform X, Rahul Gandhi explained that,
“The stories of people registered on ‘Satyagraha’ will be visible on the map. This will help in creating connections between movements happening in different places.”
He added,
“Your story will be visible on the map. You will be able to see who else is fighting a battle like yours. I will do whatever I can—be it in Parliament, on the streets, writing letters, or standing with you wherever I am needed. As the Leader of the Opposition, it is my responsibility.”
Rahul Gandhi described this initiative as a means to bring together people and groups whose movements often remain separate from each other. According to him, people in different parts of the country are raising their voices for their rights, but often they have to struggle alone.
The Congress leader stated that,
“Struggles of youth, students, farmers, tribals, Dalits, and women are ongoing across the country. Every movement has its own story and its own demands. However, the voice that rises alone is often suppressed. People are fighting for their rights across the country and often fighting alone. Gen Z, students, farmers, tribals, Dalits, women—every struggle has its own story. But the voice that rises alone is often silenced.”
According to Rahul Gandhi,
“‘Satyagraha’ will provide an opportunity to bring these voices together on a map. On this platform, people will be able to share information about their movements and learn about other individuals and groups raising voices on similar issues.”

While providing information about this initiative, Rahul Gandhi also mentioned Mahatma Gandhi. He stated that truth is a powerful weapon and standing united with the truth can strengthen the struggle.
He said,
“Bapu taught us that truth is the greatest weapon. But an even greater weapon is standing united with the truth. If you are also fighting against injustice, please share your story. It will take two minutes.”
The Congress leader urged people to register details of their struggles. He mentioned that whether the movement is small or large, people can provide information about it on this website and express their willingness to seek help if needed. In a video shared with his post, Rahul Gandhi explained how he envisions this website functioning. According to him, users can enter their name, the name of the relevant group, and a description of the issue they are protesting against.

Additionally, the platform will also have the option to indicate whether they need assistance or not. Rahul Gandhi stated that the idea for this initiative arose from protests on various issues, including students' concerns, women's safety, farmers' issues, and inflation.
He said, “Protests are happening in every corner of the country. Some are talking about students, some about women, and some are protesting against inflation. In this way, millions of different protests are happening across the country.” Rahul Gandhi mentioned that as the Leader of the Opposition, he wanted to gather information about these movements in one place. The ‘Satyagraha’ website has been launched for this purpose.
“Whether your protest is big or small, register your name, your group's name, and a description of the issue you are protesting against. If we can help you or if you want help from us, we will gladly support you.”
