Editorial Policy

How we report, source and correct the news at The Credible News.

Accuracy First

We strive to verify facts before publication using credible, identifiable sources. When information cannot be independently confirmed, we say so clearly rather than presenting it as established fact.

News vs. Opinion

We clearly distinguish between news reporting and opinion or editorial content. Articles labeled "Opinion," "Editorial" or "Feature" reflect the views of the author and are not presented as neutral news reporting.

Sourcing

Wherever possible, we cite our sources and link to primary material. We use anonymous sources sparingly and only when the information is important to the public interest and cannot reasonably be obtained on the record.

Corrections

When we get something wrong, we correct it. Significant corrections are noted transparently on the affected article. If you believe an article contains an error, please contact us via our Contact Us page.

Independence

Our editorial decisions are made independently of advertisers, sponsors and other commercial relationships. Advertising is always clearly distinguishable from editorial content.

Conflicts of Interest

Our writers and editors disclose any personal or financial interest that could reasonably be seen to affect their coverage of a subject.
