Controversy erupts over pellet gun use on protesting students

The spokesperson of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), Saurav Das, has recently levelled serious allegations against the Delhi Police during the 'Parliament Chalo' march. He claims that the police used lathi charge as well as pellet guns on students who were protesting peacefully.

However, the Delhi Police have categorically denied these allegations as completely false and misleading. According to a report by The Hindu, a source from Lady Hardinge Medical College stated that one of the injured students had injuries resembling those from a pellet gun. Despite this, the police have outrightly rejected this claim, labelling it as 'fake news'.

The CJP spokesperson shared a video on his official X handle, showing a person in an injured state in a hospital. It is alleged that the person was injured by a pellet during the protest. Along with this video, Das reinforced his allegations against the police.

The Delhi Police, dismissing the CJP's allegations, issued a "fake news alert" on their official X account. The police clarified that such reports are completely false and misleading. They stated that they are not using pellet guns against peaceful protesters. The police have appealed to the public not to share or circulate unverified information.

This controversy has sparked a new debate between the Delhi Police and the CJP. Both sides remain firm on their claims, while questions arise about the condition of the injured students. Independent verification of this matter is necessary to bring out the truth.
